Film & Video and Screenwriting & Playwriting Senior Show
May 18, 2016
The fun begins at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 9th at the International House (3710 Chestnut Street), when 18 senior directors will screen their projects. You’ll find a mix of genres including documentaries, experimental films, and narratives. Through their films, students will investigate the world of dreams, explore the humorous side of cloning, and tackle body image perceptions. There will be bumbling burglars, adult run-aways, and a problematic witness protection program. Dancers will move through explorations of identity, a woman makes peace with her life, and a chance encounter saves a young man. You’ll experience celebrations of faith, fast-paced action, super-heroes under stress, intimate betrayals, scary premonitions, insights into gender and music and a horror film gone awry. Come join us to discover the Film & Video program’s newest cinematic voices.
Also from the Cinema & Television department, Seniors from the Screenwriting & Playwriting Program will present their capstone projects for 2016 in University Crossings 028 (3715 JFK Blvd) on Wednesday, June 8th at 7pm. Join us for table readings of select works featuring professional actors and screenings of works in progress that showcase the talents of the next generation of screenwriting professionals.
